Injustice Unlimited

Is there any glimmer of hope to the marginalized PSS Group ‘B’ Officers?

Time and again, the injustice inflicted upon our cadre has been highlighted in this blog. But, there has been no reaction. The Income Tax Officers, who were in the pre-revised scale of Rs.6500-225-10500 achieved revision of pay to Rs.7500-250-12000 w.ef.21-04-2004. And, from 01-01-2006, all of them got Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- irrespective of the fact whether they have put in 4 years of service as on 01-10-2006 or not.

The JAO got Rs.4800/ Grade pay w.e.f from 01-01-2006. The duties and responsibilities of PSS Group ‘B’ cadre officers are not being considered for up gradation of Grade Pay. With All India Transfer liability and without any cadre review for decades together, a cadre is being kept continuously in demoralized condition. While more and more responsibilities are thrust upon the cadre, the welfare of the cadre is not neglected altogether. A step motherly treatment is meted out this cadre.

Now, it is told that the IT and CE Inspectors pay has been revised so that they will get Rs. 4600/ Grade Pay. What will be the position of the ASPOs and PSS Group “B” officers? Will the DOP pay attention to the gross injustice done to this cadre of PSS Group “B” and set right the partiality shown to this cadre…..??

  1. lately the fast track candidates are promoted to
HSG-I on adhoc basis in various circles. But the
same yardstick is not applied for promotion of
pss group b to class I or group A service even on
adhoc basis. Several posts of SSPs are kept vacant ubon unfilled only due to non availability of service candidates. some divisions are planned for downgradation. This is the stigma of long years of service of IPs.
